I am very proud of what I have accoplished this year in the name of reducing consumption. I moved 5 minutes from work and am either walking or taking the bus. I've parked my SUV for a few months and am planning to sell it. I've had it for 9 years and I don't want it anymore. Marc and I are sharing his much more energy efficient little car and we use it only when we have to go grocery shopping or places where it's awkward to take the bus.
sounds like a crazy thing to do but honestly it's been pretty painless.

It doesn't sound crazy to me.
While it's not a viable option for everyone, there is always something each person can do to lower our impact on the evironment.
People say "There's so little I can do." But if each person in each household did one little thing it could have a large cumulative effect.

Yes... each person doing something!! Turning off lights, turning the thermostat a little hotter in summer and a little cooler in winter (wear a sweater
), if it can be afforded buying "green power" added to the power bill, recycling what can be recycled... there are many things each person can do. Thanks for the topic!!! Good reminder.
