Okay, these darn things have been bugging me for years and now I have them on my face. The dr. said something about my pores but she doesn't know what to use without me going to a dermatologist. I have tried an exfoliant, but it isn't working.
I have red bumps on the backs of my upper arms and on my jawline on my face. I also have some on my lower arms (the outer side...I can't find any in warm places on my body) and on my lower legs. These are the ugliest, most awful things I have seen.
Any ideas short of going to a dermatologist? Anyone else have these?

could it be a laundry soap thing???
dh gets this - "dermatitis" (I know it's a "catch-phrase)- we had to change laundry soap. It worth giving it a try...

Nah, we use All free and clear and we just switched recently due to the kids having problem skin. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You need to go to a dermatologist. There could be a multitude of reasons for this rash, but it really needs to be examined by an expert (especially since it involves your face).

Yes, I have these on my arms, legs, and butt, and it's a skin condition called keratosis pilaris. There's no cure, and treatment often leaves you frustrated and with a lot less money in your pocket. I belong to an online support group for it that might help you: www.keratosispilaris.org
They now require a one-time registration fee of $5.00, but you can search the archives for free. Hope this helps.

Sounds like what I have on my upper arms, it never bothered me until my Dad kept going on about it - gee thanks Dad. Saw a specialist as the lotion I was given didn't do anything and basicaly was told to just exfoliate.
They've practically gone now, but then again I don't take any notice of them any more so maybe they haven't changed.
Just remember that what you see as being ugly bumps, nobody else probably even notices
