Ramen noodles!

  1. You know the noodles that cost about 10 cent a pack & come in various flavors:chuckle
Any way I was just wondereing if any one else out there like them as much as I do.
I'm sitting here eating a bowl now!
Lately I've been rather creative with them. I fix the shrimp flavor
noodle and sautee some shrimp with butter, chopped onions and bell peppers and soy sauce-yum! :chuckle
So any other ideas out there to spice up some cheap ramen noodles?:roll

Love those noodles! You don't know how many bowls I've had while on my computer! Be careful..They can splatter all over your keyboard. They do have too much sodium in them, but I still love 'em.
I've really never tried any other recepies using them.

    Chinese Pasta Salad
    1 medium head cabbage, shredded
    4 green onions, sliced
    1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles with seasoning packet
    1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup rice wine vinegar

In large bowl, combine cabbage, green onion and almonds. Crush ramen noodles and add to bowl with cilantro. Toss.

In small bowl, combine oil, vinegar and contents of ramen noodle seasoning packet. Toss dressing with cabbage mixture. Serve.

    Ten-Minute Pork Skillet
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3/4 pound pork tenderloin, cut into 1/8-inch strips
    2 (3 ounce) packages pork-flavored ramen noodles
    1-1/2 cups water
1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
    1 cup broccoli flowerets
4 medium green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon soy sauce , if desired

Heat 12-inch skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add oil; rotate skillet to coat side.

Add pork; stir-fry about 5 minutes or until pork is no longer pink.

Gently break apart noodles. Stir noodles, seasonings from flavor packets and remaining ingredients into pork. Heat to boiling. Boil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are completely softened.

My grandkids LOVE Ramen Noodles! It's a good thing to because when they come to visit, they are cheap to feed as long as I have those noodles on hand. Me...personally...don't like them. Yuck! Hubby loves them though, so maybe I can buy myself a new outfit this payday if I just feed him Ramen Noodles for the next two weeks. Sure he'll love that I said that.
