Quiz - Are you a ....

  1. .... responsible pet owner?

Just a note, if you let your pet outdoors... please consider getting a microchip inserted. It's the first thing we check at the humane society. I can't tell you how many dogs I've seen come in that are obviously owned (dogs don't paint their own nails ), but with no identifying information. It's really sad that we can't easily return them to their homes.

My dogs don't go out on their own. We let them out and stay with them. They are treated like children. They even sass us and cry when scolded. They are truly our furbabies. We could not have regular children, so we opted for the furry ones.

Our little Prince was microchipped during his lifetime of four years. Unfortunately, he died of a major seizure last month. He is sadly missed each day, and I can't bring myself to go look for another pet yet.

Microchip your pet(s). Pets are our family members, too.

May Prince rest in Pet Heaven eternally. He no longer suffers, so that gives me some peace. I will always miss him though.

    :kiss For you Prince!

I'm naughty, because my little dog still has her female parts.

But, after one of the now closed threads, this is a great thread to start. I think that most of us have common sense on the correct treatment of our pets, but thanks for enlightening us!!!

That reminds me, Kitty, I need to activate my dog's microchip. She came with one.

    Thank you for reminding me!!

I have 4 dogs and one cat.
They never come inside the house.
(I've never understood animals in the house personally)
My dogs are all fixed except for one and I'll take him in this summer as he is starting to wander.
The cat is not fixed because he is here for huntavirus control and I don't believe in spending money on cats other than dry cat food.
Everyone within the dogs range know they are my dogs and the dogs know where home is. They may cruise around the mts. but they always return. We don't really have any neighbors around here anyway. We certainly do not have any animal control or dog pound.
We have a vet in town and I take all the dogs in yearly for their rabies vacination. They all jump in the truck and the vet comes out and gives them all their shot.
I didn't take the test and don't agree with the criteria that is implied that indoor, fixed, and tagged equal responsible.
    Just my opinion,

Animals that YOU own should be fixed.... or they reproduce.... and they reproduce.... you get the picture.
