I have a 20 year old pioneer turntable and steriosystem that I want to get rid of (as an attempt to de-clutter the apartment). I've bearly used it and my grandfather (whom I inherited it from) kept it in mint condition. How much should I ask for it? I'm too lazy to check ebay

For a complete system, and considering the age, I'd say put a price of about $350.00 on it.

Hmmm, just did a search on ebay for "pioneer turntable stereo" and came up with a whole range of styles and prices, from asking 9.99 to Buy It Now $200 (a PL-510A). A PL-516 was going for 49.99 (so far), and a "vintage" PL-512 "from the 80's" was at 23.50. Like I said, a range. Some were not listed in as good of shape as yours sounds. Is there a market locally for these? Some purist, some vinyl collector, a club or organization that might find this VERY appealing? Good luck selling it! -- D

I don't think turntables are going for much. My new Sony was about $125.00. I wouldn't guess an old one would go for much. But whatever you get, sure beats the nothing you would get throwing it away.
