professionalism question

  1. Say hypothetically, a nurse decided to get a second job in an adult-entertainment related field. Even though this job would be legal, would he or she be at risk for losing her/his licence?

Don't know about the license, but very possibly the job! Every once in awhile, I see something in the news about such happenings.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a female porn star who is a nurse, but I can't remember her name. My guess is that legally you probably couldn't lose your license. But if there was a controversy and you would have to sue, that would be a major hassle.

People do lose jobs from time to time, and usually win in court. But you also have to consider the hassle and cost of attorneys fees.

There was a huge controversy a while back about a Nurse that was making Porn movies and had a porn website I want to say in Las Vegas but it may have been Cali. anyway she was using nursing as her Porn facade you know like Betty Home Health Nurse!!! You will get better care than you ever dreamed!!! I think Part of the deal was the website actually listed her true place of employment in nursing the Hospital name etc. and the hospital found out and sued her. It was major news for a few days about two years ago, I am sure you could do a search and find her but I don't really want to do that myself because the porn will just take over the PC if you do a search. N E way I think if you are talking about dancing say and not advertising the fact that you are nurse it should not be anybodies business, however if you are talking adult film and you use nursing as your lever you may hit a snag if the Board finds out. Not sure but I guess it could happen.

I think there was a case where even a husband got fired, since he was helping his wife with an adult website. The guy wasn't on the site at all, just took pictures for his wife, helped with administration, and stuff like that.

I've known a couple of people who operated adult websites and got out of it. Not because of being fired, etc., but they couldn't make any money at it. Apparently the porn biz is not always as profitable as people think.

As long as you dont intermix the two I would see no problems
I would and have a problem with nurse porn videos
    they are disrespectfull

However what you do in your private life is up to you

and as long as you arent giving lapdances for the patients, I see nothing wrong

Long ago when Amy and I had our Lounge duo on board the "S.S. Hole in the Boat" (The Discovery Cruise Line II), on Friday nights we used to warm up for the Chippendales! (I think I've shared this before here??? I don't remember. . . :imbar )

At any rate, I did used to flash what few chest hairs I had back then as part of our Lounge Duo schtick in "warming" up the gals for the Chippendales.

(And ladies. . . many of these guys were more interested in each other than the gals they were dancing for! )
