Please say a prayer

  1. Please say a prayer for myself & my father.

He was admitted to the hospital a week ago Monday with atrial fibrillation. On Wednesday found out he had a small brain bleed and he has significant shrinkage of the brain due to Alzheimers.. They stablized him medically, did another CT & found the brain bleed had not changed. He was going to undergo a "burr-hole" procedure to drain the blood. Tuesday evening of this week he took a turn for the worse. Another CT was done & the bleeding had gotten extremely worse. Anyway, I had to make the decision to make him a NO CODE & let him go peacefully. He hasn't passed yet, unfortunetly he could linger for days but I hope not. I know if I said that anywhere else, people would think I was cruel. Hospice has been called in.

    Thank you

Prayers and gentle hugs. I made the DNR decision for both my parents and it is still hard even though you know it is what they would want. Will keep you in my prayers.

Sometimes we are not sure if we made a good decision, in your case all the decisions are equally hard. Making the best decision you know how is always good because you know you put your whole heart in to it and knowing that will bring you peace and comfort giving your father to the one you know who will best take care of him - his father in heaven. You are not really losing here - you are gaining an Angel - Not a bad trade. - Sometimes after our loved ones are gone they are closer than ever before.
Praying for you at this difficult time - HB

    I am so very sorry.
Just spoke a prayer in your behalf... for strength, courage, wisdom, guidance, and comfort.

And for absence of any pain or torment for your dear father. That he would know you are there with him.. and FOR him.

    Peace to you. ((((gentlest hugs))))
