Plastic Surgery...Would you/Have you ever?

  1. I have been wondering this....

Would you ever/have you ever had plastic surgery? I know that when I get down to my goal weight (another three pounds lost for a total of 26!) I am going to need some nipping and tucking to not have baggy, flappy skin. I am resigned to this. I have also considered a breast lift since after three babes, breastfeeding them all, they are not where they used to be.

I know I have to wait to be making enough money to afford it as well, since insurance won't cover it. I am curious about everyone else......

I always use to say never....but, 3 BF kids later the grrls just ain't what they use to be so I have thought about a lift too. Oh, to wear a tank top w/o a bra, or a bra at all anytime for that matter :chuckle: hmmm, and maybe an eye life, oh and there is always that extra pad o' fat under my chin...but really, just the grrls...

I used to say I'd never do that, but I'm now in the process of losing 100 pounds...24 down, 76 more to go, and I'm sure I will at the least need a breast lift...I don't have a whole lot of loose skin because I am very tall and I just don't look like I'm 100 pounds overweight, but I do have big boobs and I have a feeling they will be dragging the floor behind me after all this is over! LOL Maybe not, but if they do I guess I'd seriously consider having them lifted.

One of my boobs is bigger than the other too...a friend, who is also a lactation consultant even brought it up at the Dr's one day! LOL!

Earthchild...like you I am tall too so I don't look as overweight as I am. I have lost 26 pounds with about 40 more to go for me to feel good about my shape. We'll get there!

LOL Kim, I have that same problem, but I've gotten so used to it that it doesn't matter anymore...They're mismatched but I like 'em anyway! lol

I have never felt more committed to losing weight than I do now...My dad was diagnosed in December with diabetes and has done a 180 as far as his health...he has lost a lot of weight, eats well, exercises, etc., and he's an inspiration...I also feel that as a nurse, I need to project the image that I do care about my body...after all, if we don't care for ourselves, can we really get through to people we're caring for? Just my thoughts LOL...btw, I don't know if I can post this here because I am not familiar with the board's policies regarding recommendations, but I am a member of Weight Watchers and I LOVE it...are you following a particular program?

We can do it! Just keep moving right along!!

We can post that here..i'm pretty sure! I just watch what I eat and exercise (when I'm not dealing with extreme pain like I am now).

O no, I hate to hear you're in pain...believe me I know how that is...I had PCOS and endometriosis and eventually had to have a total hysterectomy when I was 24, after my doctor basically had to fight the hospital on it because I was young and had no children...but I couldn't live like that anymore...it affects everything you do, when you're in constant pain...I hope you get to feeling better soon! (((Kim)))

Thanks! It's tough, especially with three little ones to chase constantly! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, especially when you had no children.

Hey, it's okay with me...things work out as they should in the end..I do think highly of the women who have kids and are in school at the same time...one of my school buddies has 3 kids...omg I wonder how she gets it all done...she's a real trooper!

OH, yes, I definately WOULD get the girls lifted. LOL. I was a large DD before I got pregnant, and they were actually up there where they belonged. Now, well, they just need some help. I'm sure the BF didn't help!!

Nurseunderwater, I'm with you. I'd give anything to wear a tank-top without a bra. Or just to be a nice B or C cup would be wonderful!!

I would NOT get implants, though, due to the complications. I don't think MY immune system is up to the challenge.
