The pictures posted are from Penang, Malaysia, not Thailand. Sorry that I didn't specify that in the pictures. Penang is an island off the coast of northern Malaysia that was originally founded by the British in the 1700s. It is quite different from the rest of the Malay population, as it is made up of a large number of Chinese, Indians, and native Malay. It was originally used as a trade port and all of the cultures have diverged, and thankfukky live well together. You can find foods of all different types and quite cheap.
1/2 roasted duck (for two people) for about $3.75.............noodle dishes extremely cheap, and everything made fresh right in front of you.

Intermittant humidity, depends on the time of the year. Had the Japanese rebonding done to my hair about 6 months ago so no more frizz.
I speak a little Thai, but spend most of my time teaching English to nurses and doctors. In my area I survive just fine without speaking too much Thai, but in other areas you need to speak it or have a translator.

I will tell Sabrina to pose for more pictures. She loves to do that..........
