Gentian Violet- for fungal infection. It was funny, the newscaster pronounced it gent-tea-ann. We use it around here for thrush.

I think the purple is neat looking. If it were nearby I'd like to get my picture with that bear.

I thought Gentian Violet was proven to cause cancer and had lost favour as a fungal treatment?

    Apparently, not in Arkansas.....

I doubt if it's been tested for Polar bears! Is it licenced?
  9. by nursenoelle
donmurray- wachoo mean by liscenced? Like prescription? It is OTC here.

Like prescription, I think. The licence governs what the drug can be used for, what dose, and who for, eg. adults.
    It was tongue-in-cheek, anyway......

I got the haha part- I don't know about anywhere else, but you can just walk into ant pharmacy and get it here.

Hope this drug doesn't harm the bear other than turning him (or her?) purple.

But the purple bear does look pretty neat!
