Oscars

  1. Hi there from down under

Currently over here in Australia and New Zealand we are having heaps of hype over the Oscars - mainly because we have quite a number of people between the two countries nominated - So just curious as to who you think is going to win -

Dosn't matter if its actors, film, what ever - just want your thoughts on who and maybe why?

I want Halle Berry to win for Monsters Ball and Will Smith to win for Ali, I think that A Beautiful Mind will win for best picture.

Sorry Tookie, I cannot STAND Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe won last year, lets give somebody else a chance.

I loved A Beautiful Mind. I think it should win best picture. I didn't see Monsters Ball, but I heard Halle Berry was wonderful in it.
I watched Moulan Rouge(sp), hated it, don't think it deserved to be nominated.
I saw In the Bedroom, didn't like that one either.
I think Russell Crowe will win again this year, and even if he won last year , he was fantastic in this film and deserves it.
I really didn't see any other movies that are nominated.

I loved Moulin Rouge - just the colour and the movement and the spontantiety (?spelling) of it - I think it is mainly because l love Baz Lurhmann's work - loved 'Strictly Ballroom' (which you may never have seen) and Romeo and Juliet

I also loved the Lord of the Rings - So they my two favourites But l find the whole process interesting and it great for us down under to have so many people and areas nominated when you compare our population

I am so happy for them both! I enjoy both of their movies, and the way they carry themselves in real life as well!

I wish Nicole Kidman could have won, too, because I really like her a lot -- on screen and off! She's so sweet, delicate, and kind in reality that she would have deserved an Oscar, too.

    Good morning Brownie,

I haven't seen Monsters Ball yet, but I will as soon as it comes out on video. I did see Moulin Rouge, and the acting, singing, and humor by Nicole and her costar Ewan McGregor was superb!
My husband was surprised at how well he liked the movie!

And, then there's Denzel! What can I say about that man but this: :kiss

I am truly happy for Halley! She's really a wonderful person, actress, and very deserving of the Oscar!
