One year ago...

  1. It was one year ago that my beloved middle brother decided he could not live on this world anymore. I am in a very sad and reflective mood today. Memories of how 9/11 hit me so close to the loss of another brother to suicide (younger bro died in 1997). I miss my siblings. I will never forget...

"If ever the river could whisper your name,
Would choices you made still be the same?
Like a flower that dies from angry rain,
    Why do we hurt ourselves?"

May the angels watch over you--Doug and Danny.:kiss :kiss

Zum, I'm sorry for your loss as well. I lost a wonderful brother-in-law to suicide, it's still very hard after all these years.

    Peace be with you:angel2:

I can't imagine your pain or your sorrow...but my heart goes out to you [[[[[[[[[[[[zumalong]]]]]]]]]]]. I pray your sorrow will soon turn to sweet memories of the ones you loved so dearly.

It's always surprising how grief can leap out in full force, in effect slashing the wound open all over again. Even if it's been a year or more since the incident. I feel for you in your pain, Zumalong.
My own youngest brother died suddenly over a year ago. I just recently received a chain and two rings of his, which I now wear (the rings on the chain). It is both painful and comforting to me to wear/possess these. I*sigh* I know it makes no sense.
Love and thoughts go to you.

I'm so sorry for your pain and losses, Zumalong.

My brother's best friend killed himself, and my brother never got over the grief...and the guilt...he still can't talk about it without tearing up, after 10 years. He feels he 'should have known' and helped him...somehow...but he didn't share his despair...so very hard on loved ones. (((HUGS)))
