on line bookclubs

  1. I just read an interesting article about the over 65 age group starting to really get into the internet. One of the things the article mentioned was virtual bookclubs. It sounds as if people are assigned a book a month just like the book clubs where you go to meetings but instead they meet in a chat room or talk about it on boards. Gee, I would like to do something like that and I don't recall ever having heard of any online bookclubs.

Sounds like a good idea to me as I am an avid reader. Please keep me posted as to what you find out or if you just want to start one up.

    Thanks

    I've found some guidelines.
I would like to join them and include these in my summer plan.
Even though our life is busy, reading books give us refreshment.

Check out the website for your local library. They will probably have a link to the online book clubs. I belong to one that sends me a chapter a day of a new book each week. You can choose what type of books you like and thats what you are sent. Very cool. I highly recommend it! What a great idea!!!!
