Oldfuddieduddie

  1. Young woman at doctors office came up to me and ask me for insurance card. She was wearing jeans, sleaveless bright red sweater and open toed sandles, also a big cowboy buckle. My first thought was "why is this stranger off the street asking for my insurance card". I said, "huh". She then handed me a form to fill out pointed at the desk and I realized she was a medical assistant in the office. I felt very uncomfortable giving the card and said "give me sometime to look for it". I knew perfectly well where it was but I was stalling to make sure what was going on. I must be getting to be an oldfuddieduddie but cause that outfit was a little to casual for me.

I don't think you're an oldfuddieduddie oramar. I think people are just getting less, what's the word, RESPECTFUL of their positions and image to others. I mean, did she even have a name tag on? Did she verbally identify herself to you? I would have asked to speak with someone in charge!!!

One of the other first grade teachers at my son's school dresses like a sl*t. She's a mid forties, recently divorced woman. Actually wears leather hot pants and mini skirts to school! And mind you, she does not have the figure for these things. I mentioned to the principal that it seemed unfair that my child couldn't wear shorts until May 15, no matter how hot, but she could wear crotch revealing mini skirts all year. I asked if it would be OK if I sent my son to school in a mini skirt? (I actually knew a guy in high school that did that, for that very reason, but that's another thread).

I plotted a little revenge though. I was snapping some pics for the yearbook. I'm on the pTA, so I'm a fairly common sight lurking around the school. I started snapping some shots of her. I got her on 3 different days, wearing 3 different trashy outfits, in 3 different unladylike positions. I slipped them into her mailbox on the last day of school!
