okay nurses get your 80s hats on...

  1. Because Styx, Journey and REO Speedwagon are touring together this summer.

Am I the onlh 80s child who's excited about this? Heck, I'm already fighting the urge to feather my hair.

I picked up Styx's latest CD "Cyclorama" when it came out and you know, it's really good! Classic Styx. It takes me right back to... well, I don't want to say how old I was. But still. They really get back to their roots on this one. I love it!

I had no idea the 3 of them were together this summer. Wow!! I wish I could tolerate an outside concert. That would be the most awesome concert. I love all 3 of them. Maybe I could get box seats where the fans are.

I love Journey and still listen to their cd's. I would love to see them in concert.

I am not too familiar with Styx or REO. I know their names and I am sure I hear their music, but I can't remember too much about them. It's probably because I was a "youngin" in the '80s.

Too much time on my hands, Blue Collar Man

REO-Ridin the Storm Out, Take it On the Run, Keep on Loving you, Roll with the Changes, One Lonely Night.

Thanks for refreshing my memory. Yes, I know those songs. Those are some great songs. I especially like "keep on lovin you" and even better "take it on the run". I feel goofy now. Take it on the run is playing in my brain now.

sorry it drives me crazy when that happens to me. I have One Lonely Night running through my head. It was a gorgeous video, back in the good ole MTV days. Back when MTV was worth watching.:chuckle

I liked those bands, but I was more of a new wave gal (the Clash, Elvis Costello--and gee I can't even remember the others --must be getting old)

I would LOVE to go to this concert!

Additional acts confirmed for Atlanta include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, the Edgar Winter Group, John Waite and former Grand Funk Railroad frontman Mark Farner. Survivor, Kansas and Eddie Money will replace Skynyrd on the Dallas lineup, with more acts to be announced for both cities in coming weeks

They must be really old by now. hehehe...is it the originally Journey with Steve Tyler? (Is that is name?), the original Styx with Dennis DeYoung? (Sytx is also a 70s band if you can believe that. Remember "Lady" in 1970something?)

That will probably be a good show. I noticed in the other day that Styx just released a brand new album of new material. That's longevity.

It was Steve Perry. Steven Tyler was in BonJovi, I think. Hard to think right now, doing laundry, dishes and 2 year old providing after dinner music(whining).

Steven Tyler is the lead singer of Aerosmith. Trust me on this one they are my all time favorite.

Don't know the names of any of the people in Journey.
Only ones I remember from BonJovi are Jon BonJovi and Richie Sambora.

I saw Styx and REO in concert last month. We had a great time. REO was really good, but Styx was amazing! When they played "Come Sail Away" the place went crazy. It was just awesome!

I think the reason Styx was a bit better than REO is that Styx is coming out with a new album, and was going on tour.
