OH NO...here it comes, the first real SNOW...

  1. The first big snow of the year is upon us and honestly, people are freaking out! The news keeps talking about the snow removal plans of the city, snow routes, blah blah blah.

The kicker? Predictions are 1 inch. Okay you people in IA, MN, ND, SD, etc...I hear you laughing! No joke, the news people are nuts! I ran into the grocery tonight because I ran out of something for a soup I am making, people are in there going bonkers for bread, milk, etc......

I just had to laugh. Seriously though, anyone in the area that gets hit with snow...be careful if you have to go on the roads, watch out for the other guys.

I live in central IL and we are expecting 6-10 inches - we have sleet falling now. Brrr - and I gotta get up at 0500 to hit the units early.

Sorry to hear that trauma...6-10 inches with sleet would make me sit up and take notice!

Interesting you are in central IL and I am in Indianapolis, same system has to be coming at us, wonder if the accumulation totals will change? Sounds like it just might!

BE care out there in the AM

Its really strange because in Bloomington, IL they are only expecting 4-8 inches of snow on top of the sleet...maybe you guys in Indy will luck out?

I like the cool Avatar too. Made me remember some of my favorite UT questions.

Why is Neyland Stadium Knoxville's official tornado safe place?

What do the Tennessee Vols & Billy Graham have in common?

What do the Tennessee Vols and possums have in common?

How do you keep a Tennessee Vols player out of your yard?

I am in Tennesse as well. I cannot believe I was at the grocery store today and people were loading up on Milk, Bread, Eggs, etc...."Snow is coming tomorrow!". Please people it's been in the 70's all week, no chance it would stick. I'm sure it'll close schools though, eh?
