Oh my gosh I forgot really important appointment

  1. I had major kidney surgery in October. Was supposed to go back for IVP and checkup first week of December. Usually keep track of these things by writing important appointments on Calendar and posting notices on frig. Guess what, my husband has been remodeling since Thanksgiving. I have not had a kitchen for two weeks, I don't know where my calendar is and my frig is buried under tons of junk. My life is in total disarray. I have spent a lot of time away from home staying at other peoples houses because remodeling dust is really bad for my lungs. Not to mention that I had major respiratory infection for those same two weeks that put me in a daze. I never did anything like this before. It took me whole week to realize that I had missed the appointments. It is strange, no one ever called to ask me where I was or remind me to show up. Calling these people up and telling them what I did is going to be really embarrassing. I guess in the future I will have to find a new way of keeping track of appointments. It is just that until now my old system always worked.

I write really important stuff that I need to remember on my bathroom mirror with soap (plus then I actually have to clean the mirror every once in a while).

Silly of them not to give you a reminder call!

I also like to write "I love you" messages to the kids on their bathroom mirror...

Personally, I'm pizzed that they didn't call to check up on you. That makes me angry. Hope you're feeling better and I promise you, if I had been your nurse, I'd have been on your doorstep wanting to know what was up........some people! Feel better fast!

What a hectic time you've had ... remodeling is just as bad as moving (another bad four letter word) and to be sick on top of that. I am surprised they didn't call you. These things happen.... hope you don't have to wait too long for another appt.

Oh - I put up a calander in my kitchen over the light switch ... I put everything on it as soon as I find out. Forgot to once and learned my lesson!!!!

    Hope you recover soon!

I send an email to myself as I ALWAYS check those daily at home but somehow forget the calander.

If you have microsoft scheduler, you can even set it up as an appointment with timer to ring too.

I hate when I do that. Good luck.

Call to complain that they caused you to miss an appointment because they didn't send a reminder! You are a customer on this one!
