My 11 year old woke up this morning, and his eye was all blood shot and matted. Yuck....I could tell from 6 feet away without my glasses on that the child has pink eye....but the "best" part of the story is...my husband's entire family was here last night for Christmas. All 30 of them....
Called our doctor this morning to get my kid some drops for his eye. I told him about our big family gathering last night and his reply was: "Oh boy." So I have contacted the whole family about the pink eye....so we will see what happens....

What is blepheritis and how does it differ from pink eye?
I was curious too, so I looked it up in the Taber's:
Blepharitis - Ulcerative or nonulcerative inflammation of the hair follicles and glands along the edges of the eye lids. Etiology - The ulcerative type is usually caused by staphylococci. The cause of the nonulcerative type is unknown; it may be due to allergy or exposure to dust, smoke, or irritating chemicals.
Deespoohbear, hope your son is feeling better! :kiss
