Well, my birthday is kind of like Hanukkah, we celebrate it for 8 days!

It's been going on since my lovely coworkers held a potluck with all of my favorite foods and made me a hideous cake this past weekend. I posted pics on one of the other threads.

Yesterday, the actual birthday, we celebrated with my family at my mom's house. Then hubby and I went to dinner and to see Red Dragon. I consider the fact that my favorite book was released as a movie starring my favorite actor within days of my birthday a present in and of itself! Then we had some drinkie-poo, followed by some nookie-poo.....

Today it's cake and ice cream and presents with husband's side of family!

I'm having a great time, and am finding that I generally am comfortable with getting older!

    Thanks for asking!

I'm going to have to suggest the B-day celebration for 8 days, that sound great.

Glad you had a good birthday!! With all this Red Dragon talk we are going to have to go see it.

You can call these 8 day celebrations Heatherkah!!! :roll

Good for you Heather, I'm glad the Heatherkah is going well. I am getting a kind of vicarious enjoyment from it too, especially the nookie-poo part. I haven't seen Red Dragon yet, but have read all of Thomas Harris's books and enjoyed them. Do you think there is a possibility he might be just a little weird?

    Uh huh.... just a little

But that's OK... makes for some scary reading! I couldn't get into Black Sunday though, have you read it?

Is that the one about the blimp, terrorists and the Super Bowl? If so I have read it but it was a long time ago. I forget most of it.

That's the one. It was way too politically themed. I prefer the dark psychological stuff.

Glad to hear the description of the perpetually evolving birthday! I think I'll take notes and let everyone know that we can actually begin celebrating a few days earlier for my birthday next year! LOL!

BTW-ya'll sure do like the SCARY stuff! I saw "Silence of the Lambs," and got my scare quotient filled for the rest of my life!
