I have tears in my eyes as I write this. (The crying isn't really a new thing though, I've been crying all day! For a few days for that matter!)
You guys are the greatest! 7 hours after the auction, most of our families haven't even called yet to see how we fared.
So ladies and gents..... y'all are talking to a new homeowner!
We actually wound up paying $1,000 more than we had originally planned on offering outright. We learned alot, about auctions and showing too much interest. I'm certain they planted bidders to pump up the price. The guy that got the back up bid on my house wasn't even registered. They had to get him a number before they could proceed.
Ah well....... I'm so tired. Relieved. Scared. I don't know. After our bid was written on the board as the highest, and they went on to the next house, I just walked outta there, trying not to cry until I got away from everyone. Ya ever cry just from an amazing sense of relief?
My bed even feels different. Better. Just cause it's in MY house.
I can tell you though, about 40 people walked through and inspected my house. Very traumatic. I blubbered the whole time. Some of them (thinking they were being nice) came over & said "oh, I hear you're bidding too, good luck!"
I don't know if it's the relief, or all those drinky-poos with dinner, but I'm sleepy. Thanks again y'all! :kiss
