O bother! Starting another job search...

  1. This is the first time with all the random jobs I've ever had, that I'm looking for a new job because of pay. That's 99% of the reason I'm looking for a new job. I'm on a shoestring budget and it's starting to fray at both ends. I know it's what I need to do and I am at peace with that, but I'm bummed, too - I LOVE my co-workers and the comraderie I have with them, but I have bills I need to pay!!! So I'm sitting here sloooooowly making my way to microsoft word to work on my resume.

I've decided this is how I'm gonna handle it: once I have a job offer in hand, I'll take it to my current boss and let them know that if they can match it (which I guarantee they won't), I'll stay, but otherwise I'll put in my two weeks. I simply MUST make more money!

Even though I'm bummed about "losing" my co-workers, the jobs I'm looking at will pay for school! That'd be awesome!!! I hear I'd owe them after schooling as well as my firstborn son, but it'd soooo be worth it! The last thing I want is more school loans!!

Yup, that's what's goin' on with me!

    Oh, and Thanksgiving was AWESOME!!!!!

Sorry to hear that you're leaving your job...it sounds like you like it, even if it doesn't pay enough. But you need money, and especially money for school, so that's understandable.

Too bad you can't find part-time work in addition to your present job...

Times are tuff these days, to be sure. Sometimes we just have to do what we HAVE to do.

Wish you the very best. And maybe, just MAYBE your current employer will keep you on !

Yeah, I'd be AWESOME if they'd give me a relatively large raise. That would be ideal. Unfortunately, I think the chances of me climbing mt Everest are probably higher! My coworkers (ok, ONE of my coworkers who knows) is very supportive and I know we'll keep in touch regardless of where I'm working. Just frustrating, y'know?
