Nuts.................

  1. Hello,

Are soybeans that are salted and roasted considered a nut product?

Yup...it's still a bean...a nut is a nut, and a bean is a bean...no matter what you do to it!

I came to love beans when I went veg many years ago. Now that I'm not veg I still eat them a couple times a week, they help lower cholesterol (literally good for the heart) and have good protein, etc. Apparently the body adjusts after a while and the flatulence isn't a problem. Note how many beans are eaten in Hispanic cultures.

I love beans. In fact am having some Peurto Rican style beans tonight actually! Toot! I mean, Woot!.

But yes, soy nuts are not actually nuts. But good for you nonetheless. Eat up and enjoy, but watch the calories.

It's a legume, not a nut or bean! Can you tell I used to be a vegetarian?

Tootin' Tweety ! Just a wootin' and a tootin' !

Yep, I love beans, too... of ANY kind ! But like Marie, only if I know I'm going to be at home awhile... And no, Beano does NOT work for me... it just bubbles up inside and makes me feel like I'll literally EXPLODE 'cuz it's contained...... rough stuff !!! :stone

I love beans too and I could care less if anyone is around or I am in a public place! LOL! I just pretend someone else did it! (usually poor Bry!)
