    Hey Yeti !

I grew up eating Nutella in Germany. It's supposed to be a bread spread. On good, hearty, wholesome, chewy German bread. I used to eat it as a little kid already, and all through High School ... so Nutella has been around a long, LONG time !!!

With OJ... never !!! Got milk?

Nutella was one of the choices of what to have your crepe slathered with, from one of the street vendors of crepes in Paris . Never tried it, tho' . . . did buy roasted chestnuts wrapped in newspaper from the street vendor. It was November and VERY cold, and those tasted so good (had never had chestnuts before)!!
Now I'll have to buy it - saw it at Trader Joe's the other day.
Vegemite: an Aussie thing, yes? Have heard others from Oz discuss it (loved it as much as you). Don't think I've ever seen it here in So. Cal. Might have to buy it online, to try.
Ever have toast w/butter and molasses? MMMMMMMMM !

clm.. I used to doubledip too ! (when Mom wasn't home, I'd hit that Nutella jar !)

Dianah... you are sooooooooo lucky to have a Trader Joe !!! No fair. What I'd give to have one here... even within a hundred miles ! It would be worth the trip to stock up. My sis works at TJ's in Tucson and every time we drive out there, I come home with a trunk full of goodies Their organic yogurt is the BEST ! Throw in their granola, a few fresh berries, and you think you're in heaven !

There are actually three "mites" Marmite which the English favour is beef extract. Promite is vegetable extract and vegemite is yeast extract. It tastes very salty and tangy. Modt people outsede of Australia think it is the pits.

oh am a HUGE vegemite fan here - yum yum yum, just on toast with butter, or in a sandwich - guess what i heard tasted good? vegemite on toast with melted butter and sliced apple?? hmm, will try it tomorrow morning.

To all our American friends - I am VERY sure that you would hate vegemite. I think it is one of thise things that you have to grow up eating to love. Vegemite is *goes to have a look at her jar* just as i thought, concentrated yeast extract, one of the worlds richest sources of Vitamin B. Yum yum yum, but back to Nutella - I LOVE IT, but mum and dad would never let us have it so it is a huge treat to buy it, and i don;t even buy it myself, even thought i easily could - it makes me laugh how advertising tries to pass it off as HEALTHY because of the hazelnuts - yeah, and I'm the tooth fairy!
