Nursing related gifts

  1. Where do you shop for nursing gifts?

I have been to Allheart.com, but that is the only one I can think of. So somebody, EVERYBODY, give me the best online stores to shop at for great nursing gift ideas for family and coworkers.

    I just know ya'll will pull through. . . .

What kind of nursing gifts are you talking about?

When I first became a nurse, I used to love the nursey things. I've got pillows, knick-knacks, t-shirts, calendars, etc.

But you know what? If I open another farggin nurse figurine for Christmas I'm gonna scream!

I got 2 nurse wine corks this Christmas. Nurse wine corks. Who ever thought?

I think your nurse friends and coworkers would like a foot massage more.

Nurse's Station has a store and catalog with lots of stuff in it.

MedicalTees sells...um...t-shirts. They have a nursing category.

I think some of the knick-knacky things aren't for me but the pins (I can put them on my ID holder), lanyards, bags mugs, etc. and especially t-shirts I have bought because they're practical. ;>)

Try specialist antiques auctions for old Red Cross badges, historic uniforms etc. I once bought a box of miscellaneous items for 3 because it had one of those St John Ambulance slings in it that show you how to tie the sling for different injuries (arm#, foot injuries, head lacerations among others). I also got a WW1 medic's bag for a few pounds - single-strapped khaki bag with a white circle and red cross on it, used to ferry urgently needed first aid items across battlefields. Historic, appropriate and just a little different.

I don't have any room for knick-knacks and would never think of giving those or any kind of Wine corks, much less a nursing related one. I like the practical, usable gifts with a nursing theme. I was looking for the badge holders, pens, pins, and other things that you could use on the job.

Heather: the foot massage idea is GREAT!!!! I would never have thought of that.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. Keep em coming. I knew I could count on ya'll. . .

You could always go to Bath and Body Works and buy up all the creamy coconut before it's all gone since it seems alot of nurses have a fetish for it , just a thought :chuckle

BikerLeather.com. Well, I guess it depends what kind of a nurse you are.

I have to disagree with Heather on this one! I LOVE getting Nurse figurines and all that kinda stuff! I usually buy it for myself first so no one else gets the chance. I'm a little crazy like that!

But a nice foot massage is great too!. My SIL got me a gift cert. to the local Day Spa for X-mas. Mom and Sis got one too so soon, we are gonna make a day of it and get pampered! I;m gettin my eyebrows waxed, my upper lip waxed, a massage, a facial and a manicure. The gift cert will only cover the waxings I'm sure but so what. I deserve some pampering once in a while, right?

Cool. Email me your address and I'll send it all to you instead of my local team of trash collectors!

Dood... I have a 2003 desk calendar and 2, count them, 2 wine corks sitting on the counter getting ready to take the plunge into the trash container. All adorned with cutsie nurses.
