Nurses in Recovery

  1. Hi guys, I am a nurse who graduated in 1981, and in 1985 I found out I was alcoholic! Horrible news? Nope, it meant that I got to find out who I really was. I am not bashful about putting this on a private forum but please feel free to PM me!

Thank you! I love your little "wave"! This is my first day here so it may take a minute or two to figure out how to put them on here!

Welcome zoeboboey...I have been involved in 12 step groups for many a year...not for chemical addiction but for my ongoing addiction to the relationships with the chemically dependent...have been chronically co-dependent all of my life... have been beaten to a pulp and went back for more, have been emotionally abused in ways that would shock anyone here...my present husband is an RN and an alcoholic...he works his program and I work mine...he is still under the scrutiny of our state board of nursing for the next 3 months due to a relapse over two years ago...I wish you well in your recovery...take care of yourself and "KEEP COMING BACK"...

Is there a way here to just respond to a particular post or do you always have to scroll to the bottom?

Congrats on your recovery ! I qualify for almost every 12 step group there is, ha ha! My sweetie is recovering too, it makes life interesting! Give hub a hug and tell him to return it -- from me!
