nurse dies from chocolate overdose

  1. Any of you having the same problem? Too much chocolate all over the place? All your patient's families have decided to remember you with boxes of sickly sweet goodies all of a sudden. Since when was too much chocolate a bad thing?

Yeah I know, you feel my pain.

This is weird, but for the first time I can remember, I'm not going crazy over food during the holidays. There's candy, cookies, and all sorts of treats lying around everywhere---at work AND home---but I don't seem to feel the need to stuff myself these days. I've got too much to do and too many things to think about right now; sure, the goodies are wonderful, but one piece of fudge tastes just as good as five, and I don't have the time for the nasty sugar hangovers I get whenever I overdo it.

Usually I gain somewhere around 15 pounds during the "eating season" that starts around Halloween and goes all the way through New Year's, and this year I've LOST about that much without even really trying. Who'da thunk it?:spin:

It's nice the families are so thoughtful, though. What else to get for a diverse group of working (mainly) women (key word = women )?? (giving a nod to Tweety, Rusty, Ted, native, Timothy and etc . . who may like chocolate too!!)

I ate a box of chocolates. My jeans are tight. Must've gained 10 pounds.

Can't they just give us money instead?

Chocolate is supposed to be good for you. One of the food groups you need for good nutrition, don't you know.

True, chocolate comes from a cocoa plant and anything that comes from the earth must be good for you.

Very wise words. See? Chocolate increases your IQ.

Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants and the darker the better. But don't forget! it's full of calories too!!!!!

And just think if you had dark chocolate with a diet pepsi how many calories you would save.

Saw on CNN that chocolate affects the same part of the brain that heroin (or was it cocaine - see too much chocolate) does. I believe it. I throw fits if I can't find chocolate. I even dip healthy bananas in chocolate.

I think I need to be on that A&E show "Intervention".

Don't forget, when you dip your healthy banana in chocolate, make sure it's dark chocolate. Wouldn't want to ruin a good thing now, would we?

YEAH!!!!! Jesus is the reason for the season!!!!!!!!!
    JESUS!!!!!

See the problem is that I have zero self control

I can relate to that lack of self control. I just finished eating half of a Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream. Well, I was doing a good deed. Honest! Dd or Ds might have gotten to it before me. And it had been in the freezer so long it was lonely. Couldn't allow the ice cream to develop a low self esteem, right?
