Major snowstorm should pass before title games

I believe that the winter storm warning for Philly is that Michael Vick and the Falcons are coming to town to kick their a****. Watch out!

I know a WHOLE church that are New England Fans! Way back when, oh so long ago, I used to attend an Episcopalian church in Foxboro, MA, near where the Patriots had their stadium. They would schedule certain church services around the Patriot's playing schedule!!! :innerconf It just struck me as odd that an entire church do such a thing. The Sunday services remained on schedule, though, thank goodness! (I used to commute 40+ miles from Boston to attend this church and participate in its choir. It would really have bummed me out if they cancelled a Sunday church service for a football game! ) Anyway, I hold very, very fond memories of this church and its members. Despite their enthusiasm for their football team, I never once attended a Patriot game. :imbar

By the way, it's starting to snow now. Our local focast calls for between 1 1/2 to 2 feet of snow. Seeing how Amy and I now live on a mountain side (the Catamount Ski Resort can be see right outside our dinning room window), we'll probably get the full 2 feet of snow. Have I ever mentioned on this bulletin board that I absolutely HATE winter and its snow?!?!? BLECH!!!

    Oh well, such is life!

    Cheers!

Alright BeachNurse...them there are fighten words! :smiley_ab

I talked to my mom today, who lives in Florida (where I am originally from) and she said she was walking around barefoot by the pool.

The snow is beautiful when it first falls, and then after a few hours I am through with it. I am with you Ted, I am not a cold weather, winter person. I love the warmth and sun. I won't have to deal with this too much longer. We have orders for TX in June!

I JUST received and email from our Pastor that church has been cancelled because of the snow storm!

I guess hell does freeze over!! :chuckle

For those affected by this rather nasty winter storm, be safe and keep warm! For those who live in a more warmer climate:

    I envy you. . .

In the meanwhile, I'm going to surf the 'net and write music. . . and enjoy being house bound with my loving wife.

    philadelphia storm update:

started snowing at 10am. by 3:30 pm when left work, 8 inches on the ground. i live 10 miles west of philly's lincoln financial field. driveway was clear then by sons. expected snowfall totals:10-16".

just took quick measurement 3" more = 11 already received. so snowing 1"/per hour with heaviest yet to arrive.

my prediction is closer to 20" total.

great weather for our eagles to play in!!! snow will be removed and dumped in park, delware river or at navy yard, 1/2 mile away. a dome team will find it difficult to predict winds at open ends of new football field while we've had plenty of practice.

    prediction:

    vs.

history will be made when eagles and steelers meet in jacksonville.

Hee hee..sorry. I am originally from VA. I have only been in FL four years, and I don't miss the cold weather one bit!! Sadly our warm weather today has already ended and it is supposed to get very cold (30's or colder) here tonight.
