OK, so can someone explain how the book club works? Do we have a book for November? Cuz I'm looking for something to read and this would be a great opportunity to read and discuss.

NO I Don't think we do, I think the book club has fizzled out. But I am still wanting to particpate so maybe this will bring it back to life.
Any suggestions for the next book?

I also enjoy a good read. I just finished the Davinci Code. I don't think I am really open for love stories at this time; however, I do enjoy mysteries.
Perhaps we should first figure out what everyone likes and then go from there. I hope this is okay with you guys.

Davinci Code would be a pick of mine. But I haven't gotten to read a pleasure book in about 5 years. So suggestions are welcome

I am sorry it took me so long to respond. I don't know - it's been so long since I have read a book for pleasure that it's hard to say. Sad isn't it? I guess my favorite writers would be Stephen King, J. K. Rowling, Anne Rice & there's another one, can't think of his name that writes medical mysteries.
That's my best description of types of books I like.

I just finished reading Angels and Demons also by Dan Brown. I am now reading The Memoir Club by Laura Kalpakian. So far its pretty good and even has a nurse as one of the characters. I am only on page 67, so, I have no idea how this is going to turn out. Oh well, like I said before, I enjoy a good read. BTW, I agree with your Dr. Suess quote.

I am hoping to get the angels and demons by Dan Brown asap. Not sure exactly when. Was it good?

I think most of us just talk about books we think others might enjoy; what we're reading @ the moment, what we thought about a book someone else mentioned.
I wind up going from this thread to Amazon
and spending more $$. LOL.
We have tried to have a book of the month, but haven't been too successful. Cybercat started this up again. (THANKS!) Everyone has different book reading tastes, so it's great to see what everyone's reading, even if we don't discuss it.
