New Years Eve 2002....Who-Whooooo!

  1. :hatparty:

What's your plans for New Years Eve? Staying at home? Going to a party? Reflecting? What have you done past years that you'll never do again?

What New Years Eve has been the most special by far?

    Holla!

Working 3-11. I usually work day shift but got "pulled." Not a happy camper about it either....not because I have a party to attend or anything...just don't want to be out on the roads with all the drunks at that hour....

If I wasn't working, probably would be staying home. Hubby is a dairy farmer and has to get up very early....not much into staying out late....

Most memorable New Year's Eve would have be during high school...an aunt of a friend of mine has this old deserted church she owns...Has a beautiful bell in it. My friends and I would go and ring it at midnight on New Year's Eve...one toll for the new year...not sure what we would do now since the year will be 2003...three rings I guess. We would make hot chocolate and have treats. Boy, that was a long time ago. Makes me misty eyed just thinking about it...

I requested off for the nite, but as of now, I have no plans and no date!!! UGH! I'm such a loser! I will probably end up sitting at home watching the apple drop.

I'll be working this year on New Year's eve. It used to be a big deal say 20 years ago, party, party, party! Every New Year's eve of yesteryear seems to be one big blurrrrrr. As I got older, the New Years became quieter. BUT, then again, it's MY BIRTHDAY!!!:hatparty:

THis is first year I'll be working! Oh well, I'm sure it will be fun with my co-workers, the last 4 years it's been a tradition with my friends and family to have a party, but I decided not to have one this year and work instead......New Year's used to be my favorite holiday....guess I'll have to find a new favorite!

    Birthday Buddy!

I have NEVER worked past 3 pm on 12/31 or at all on 1/1...schedule me for doubles over Christmas but never ever my birthday (I used to put in my requests off on 1/2 every year).

    I don't remember midnight from about 1985 to 1998.

Slept thru Y2K...sick as a dog...at a really nice B&B on the Oregon coast.

NYE 2000 swilled really good wine with the husband..we decided to give our 2 75# dogs baths-in the bath tub during bottle #3 and missed midnight.

Last year...spent it sober...at a really cool bungalow on the Washington coast and had birthday sex for the very first time @ 38 (the down side of having a NYE b-day...to drunk to do it).
