New Mexico Nurses- let me hear from you

  1. Hi. Just wondering about life and work in New Mexico. Albuquerque, Taos, Santa Fe, etc.
Thinking about relocating there. Have never been there, so ANY info, places to see, places to avoid, would be greatly appreciated.

I'm seriously considering leaving Houston after grad and New Mexico (Albuquerque) is at the top of my list.

Just out of curriosity, where are you currently located and why NM?

For me, I just want a change - I've got the wanderlust BAD. I have lived in Houston all my life and I like my city, I just need a change for a year or two. I want a smaller city, no state income tax, a decent cost of living, 4 distinct seasons and a view. I've lived in snow (1 year in Denver at Lowry AFB) and didn't enjoy it. I'd have to add a winter without a lot of snow to the list as well. =Its a tough combination to come by. Albuquerque seems to fit the bill. The only other city I've found thus far that fits my criteria is Spokane although I'm sure there are a few I've missed.
