new kitty...again!

  1. Aaaaawwww, I got a litten. First time in my life to have a wee little kitten since mine was killed when I was 13.

It is soooooooo precious and sweet.

The good news is the dog and the other big cat, Butterscotch have now formed an alliance to get the cute little bugger evicted from the house. That bad news is, the dog likes to eat cat shyt, and vomit it back up for double the cleaning. Also, the "old" cat HATES the new guy. Good news, new guy and dog like to play together, new guy even let dog like her face....repeatedly.

I just have to get some pictures of this little button nose before she grows any more. She must be barely weaned.

Son brought her home from outside the restaurant he works at.

I wuv her!!!!!! :kiss She's playing with my fingers as I type (finally, a good excuse for all my typos!)

Are you serious? Butterscotch was the one you found about 2 weeks ago; and now you have ANOTHER one?

Ya know, having too many cats is a sign of mental illness.

No such thing as too many cats... or shoes.

hoolahan's in training to be one of those crazy old ladies with about 30 cats.

I do think it's cute when cats and dogs play nice together, though--love to see some pictures!

And Susy--still waiting to see pix of Fattie before he's all growed up!

Hoolahan, I envy you. Hubby hates cats, and won't have one in the house. We did have a cat when my daughter lived at home, but she was Daddy's girl and could have whatever she wanted. When we first got married, I wanted to get a cat, and hubby would not hear of it. When my daughter was about three, she lokked at Daddy with those big blue eyes, and said "Daddy, I want a kitty." The next day he brought a cat home for her, and we had a cat until she grew up and left home. After she left, when the last cat died, it was not replaced. If I really wanted a cat, I would get one, but I don't think the dog would accept one either. He and hubby are both too set in their ways.

Awwww. Hoolihan! How sweet! We got a teensy tiny kitten last year at Christmas-she was just a little gray ball. Now she weighs about 8 lbs., and has a full, fluffy, persian-type tail that she is SO proud of! I'm sure that you and your little finger-nibbler will get along just great. Just don't leave her alone with the dog and Butterscotch. They are liable to team up on her, and uh-oh!

I know, I know! We took some pix last week, we just need to develop them. Fattie had his first non-mess day all day yesterday. There is hope!

Ewwww re: the dog eating the tootsie rolls from the litter box and double ewwwwww puking them back up!

Kittens are such a joy, aren't they? Mine is sitting on my lap right now too! As far as odor control, my strategy is to just put small amounts in the litter box and change it daily. I buy the cheapo trash bags to put over the litter box, then newspaper to protect against sharp little claws, then the litter. When its time to change, I just draw the bag back over turning it inside out, tie it up, and drop it in the trash. No scooping or dumping for me!

I'm new here so I hope you don't mind me replying. Fresh Step Crystals is a great litter for odor control. It absorbs the urine so all you have to do is scoop out the poop. It's a little on the expensive side but it is worth it. I change mine every 7-10 days. One bag lasts me 14-20 days. I have 3 cats and 3 dogs so I am always looking for ways to eliminate odor.

    No FAIR !!!!

I want a kitty, TOO !!! Used to ALWAYS have kittys to play with, but haven't had one in years..(leasing our current pets til we OWN it is the"rule"...bummers) Don't you just love it when they open their little mouth as if to meow or protest, and nothing comes out? No sound.. just a little open mouth ! And then just CONTINUE to LOOK at you, like you're 'sposed to know JUST what it is they want?
Just barely weaned? Yep.. had one like that, too. He ended up sucking on my earlobe every night !!! Had to break him of that when he got older, though. Was cute when he was itty-bitty, but later on......naaaaaaaahh !

Enjoy the little button-nose ! Still no fair, tho'..............
