Mystic River

  1. Has anyone seen it? I watched about 1/2 hour of it before, I got a phone call yesterday. It didn't take long to determine the intensity of it.... can't wait to see the rest.

For those who have seen it what'd you think, for those who have not, are you wanting to?

Definitely one I want to see but didn't in the theatre, is it out od DVD?

I read the book earlier this year and *loved* it, I hope the movie does it justice.

    GREAT movie.
I'm one of those people who has a hard time getting into the story and sitting down for 2 hours for a movie. This one, however, captured my attention and the storyline is burned into your memory. You've got to see it.

Great movie; great acting; but what a sad ending! Definitely not a "feel good" movie.

Definately not a feel-good movie. But a great movie. The acting was amazing. Well deserved Oscars for Sean Pean and Tim Robbins.

"WOW" I saw the rest of the movie!!!!!The acting was incredible, I can still see the fathers expression, when he says "Is that my daughter in there", having a daughter that is the same age, I wept and then I wept some more.
Penn is incredible as is Robbins. "WOW"

I have to agree, it was an incredibly moving drama...not a feel good one, but very well acted (and directed...gotta love Clint Eastwood)

Excellent movie. I think Sean Penn has really become one of the "great" actors. I look forward to seeing whatever movie he is in as well as most movies with Robert DeNiro.
