I had a nest of baby birds up in the roof of my porch, don't know what kind cause they were hidden. I didn't have the heart to get rid of them. A huge 7 ft long black snake got in there today and killed all of them
My 3y/o dd was sooo upset, she has "listened" for the birds everyday for weeks. I was so mad at that snake:angryfire To top it all off, my dh was leaving for work and I was taking oldest to the doc (sinus infection) and dh just leaves me to deal with it!! Thank goodness for my Dad! He came and got the darn thing down and took it to the woods. That poor momma bird was so pitiful, she was diving and striking the snake with her beak to try to drive it off, even got in the nest with the snake to try to get him off her babies
Just broke my heart. The snake only ate one of them, so I guess the weight killed the others? Anyway, now I am upset, and scared that there may be more of them around the house. Anyone know of repellents that work?
BTW, I should have put a warning in the title, I know some people don't want to be reading about snakes eating baby birds, sorry I didn't think of that!
