My husband is in the hospital.

  1. My husband started having chest pains over the weekend and put it off hoping it would go away. He started having them again today and he called our family physician who told him to go to the ER. We went and after some initial labs, EKG and a chest x-ray, he's been admitted to the telemetry unit. Everything has come back normal so far and I am very much hoping that the rest of the labs come back normal, too. I am still scared, though. Stephen is only 44 years old and I think this took us both by surprise. Any prayers would be appreciated.

how frightening this must be with such an abrupt onset and young age.
praying they will get to the bottom of this with positive thoughts for an expedient recovery.

Thank you all. Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated. As for risk factors, Stephen is overweight and has a poor diet. That's about all I can think of right now. I can't think of anyone in his family that has any kind of heart problems. ?

I join my prayers with the rest, hope all the cardiac markers are negative and something simple is found as a reason for the CP.

My thoughts and prayers are with you both {{{{{hugs}}}}}} I had a small MI two years ago and I am very healthy. I didn't have a mother or father with heart problems but I had grandparents that had them. But just hope that things go well. Keep your chin up it can be a big change in your life.

Oh you will surely be in our prayers. This just happened with my dh (only 35 but risk factors there too). Turned out to be a strained pec muscle but his stress test was slightly abnormal. If your situation turns out to be a scare consider what I did crack down on the whole fam, complete lifestyle change. Good Luck.
