My first "music video"!

  1. O.K. it's not MTV quality! Not by a long shot!

Just purchased a rather inexpensive digital camera (No. . . not the $2,400.00 video camera that I so desperately want. . . .). It can record in a simple 30 second video mode as well as shot digital stills (which is does rather well).

I compiled some digital stills plus two simple 30 second digital videos to make my first music video! Amy thinks it's cute!

It's titled "Dinner at the Fiebke's". Last night we had my sister-in-law and niece over for dinner. . . and I just went crazy shooting stills and videos and stuff. The bestest part is downloading all that stuff into my computer and using some fancy-shmancy software to create this video. The song is "Smooth" which I wrote many, many years ago.

Warning: THIS IS A BIG FILE!!! It's over 5 MB in size!!! So, unfortunately for now, until I can render this video in a smaller size and still maintain a decent quality, you'll need a fairly fast modem connection to view this baby (DSL, or better yet, cable modem)! Sorry!

I'll trying creating a smaller file size, maybe in a RealVideo mode so that more people can view this masterpiece.

    At any rate, enjoy!

Just click on the link below and click on "Video: Dinner at the Fiebke's!" toward the bottom of the web page.

You will need the "Window Media Player" program to view this video. I am interested in knowing if you have any significant problems viewing and hearing this video so that I may "iron out the wrinkles!" Thanks!

    Happy viewing!

    Ted

Update: I now have a RealMedia file. Click on the link below and listen with your RealMedia Player. It a little over 1 MB in size. Hopefully more people can view the Academy Award nominated video (yea. . . right. . . . . :chuckle )

Checked it out with my T1, Ted. Downloaded beautifully - nifty toy, BTW . Only suggestion I might make is, is there any way to tone down the background music so you can hear the camera operator (you! )

    Very cool.....

Yep, I can do that. I'll do it after church. Thanks for the feedback!

    Well, Ted!

Are we going to have to call you "Mr. director" from now on? That was entertaining!

Ted and Amy! How neat! I loved it. My daughter just loved when the yellow halo appeared on Bubbles!

Once again, you are very talented. Thanks for sharing.

    I'm behind the camera. . . .

Amy and I are doing to "produce" a Christmas video for our family and friends. (Just decided to do that . . . about 30 minutes ago!) Going to ask friends and family to email me digital stills so that I can combine them along with a few digital-video shots to make a "Holiday Video" I'll be in a few of those shots, hopefully!

Actually. . . . I would like to make a simple "Holiday Video" of Allnurses.com members! It doesn't take me that long to compile photos and short video clips together to make a final video. So, if you're interested in being a part of an "Allnurses.com Holiday Video", just email me a fairly good quality "JPG" file around 120 to 150 kilobits in size with around a 300 pixel resolution (300 by 300 pixels in dimension) and I'll start compiling them together with some holiday music (or maybe some original music) to make the video. I'll then put the finish product up on my web-page (from the non-commercial www.mhcable.com/~fiebke web site with a link to the website where I have more memory-storage capabilities).

There's no gimick involved. In other words, I don't want to sell anything. I just want to have fun. . . "Girls just want to have fun. . . " (sorry, that song is stuck in my head. . . . stream of consciousness writing here. . . .)

So. . . . if you're interested, email one photo of you, or a photo of you and your family or a photo of you and your favorite pet. Explain the photo if you want within the email and I may include some or all of the information in a narrative.

This is just of kicks and giggles. . . . so email away! There is a dead-line, though. Please have your photos to me by December 20th, 2002 so that I may have this holiday video ready by the end of this month!

This will be my holiday gift. . . my holiday card. . . my holiday well-wishes to my "Allnurses.com" friends!

    Let's have fun!

    Cheers!

Cool video Ted! I guess boys never grow up so much that they don't enjoy new toys!
