I haven't been around for most of the week because I was very busy!!! I guess I missed a great NANDA debate. Oh well.
My wife went into severe PIH. She was admitted to our local hospital and transferred to the Houston Medical Center on Wed. On Thurs, she delivered my new daughter, at 28 weeks.
I have to say, I have a newfound respect for NICU nurses. Everybody has been so great so far. We are, as I am constantly told and certainly believe, "in the best place in the entire world for her to be." (although, I'm sure there are many many such places.)
2 lbs, 6 oz.
She's on a ventilator at present, but the docs say she has done better than expected and spent her first 5 hrs on nasal CPAP before they tubed her. NNP has said that everything is 'as best as could possibly be hoped for at the moment'.
We could definitely use prayers that things continue to go well.
Stefanie (my wife) is doing well and might be discharged as early as tomorrow. We were really scared there for awhile as her urine output had dropped to about 10mls/hr before we decided to deliver. Kidneys are going bonkers, now. THANK GOD.

Tim, she's so precious! Congratulations!
May God bless you and keep you all in His care.
