my brain is mush!!!!!

  1. Hello Everyone;
What a week I have had. I have been in orientation for this past week, we covered a lot of things, some old and some new. I am not familiar with any of their machines, so until I can get my hands on one, I am just not getting the how to's and where this thing goes, but I am not letting this get me down. In fact, one of the speakers was so good I did send her an e-mail to thank her for reminding us all of just how fragile we all are as humans at times. Once again, kindness is so important.
Well, I am going to bed. I just wanted to pop in and say hello and wish everyone a safe and happy weekend. Remember, those of us who are on day-light savings time, we change our clocks back this weekend in many of the states, so remember to check if you are going back to normal time on Saturday/Sunday.

I'm ALWAYS EXHAUSTED during orientation times! It's just so hard to sit and absorb talk w/o doing anything . . .

It will get better, and congrats on the job!

Personally, I love orientation. A chance to sit there and listen and not having to do anything, except try hard not to fall asleep.

Barefootlady, it is great that you're so upbeat. And, yes, I agree that kindness is soo very important to us all. Hope you love the new job. :wink2:

Suebird, I remember well working nights and it always seemed I was on duty when the clocks got turned back, but off when they went forward.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks for the reminder. It's going to be nice to get that extra hour on a weekend I'm working.

I'm working this weekend, too....and I'm so looking forward to that extra hour of sleep!

Barefoot.....good luck with your continuing orientation. It always seems like there's so much to know during classroom time, but once you get on the floor it's seems so much easier. You'll be surprised at how much you "remember", even if you're like Weetzie and try hard not to fall asleep!! (I'm with you there, my friend!)

Let us know how it's going!

    (((HUGS))) Barefoot !

I, too, find it overwhelming to be new and orienting somewhere you're not familiar with.. and yet exciting at the same time.

    You'll be FINE. :kiss

So just where ARE you working now, and doing WHAT? Fill us in !

Wish you all the best.. you're a good soul.

I want to thank each of you for the kind words of encouragement. I am working in Parkersburg, at CCMH. I will be MS/Onc. I am very excited and I really do feel I can enjoy this position. The staff is a good mix of ages, the boss is experienced and still peeks in everyday and DOES assist the staff, the morale is high and most of the staff I have met or enteract with have a ready smile and seem to be happy to be at work. I have been told by former patients they prefer going to this facility over most others in the area. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and welcoming if a facility can be described that way. I absolutely love the CNO, what a nice lady!
Now after saying all of that I must again say good-bye, wish all of you a blessed day and week, and finish getting things ready for the trip back. I am staying with the oldest daughter, we are looking for a smaller place to move. I have to find a new church too. Now that is difficult. I pray each and every day for all of you special friends here on this site. I know He is answering too. (Hugs to all).
