My Big Fat Greek Wedding!

  1. man oh man oh man......what a hilarious movie this movie was.....just what my therapist would order for me to see, too!

i went to see this movie around noon today...alone, but that was okay....i'm use to going places on my own like that...anyway, it was great. i now want to be a part of a big fat greek family because they are so close, and really know how to have fun! if you haven't seen it yet.....go see won't regret it. :d

two things i heard talked about in that movie that i have now adopted as my very own train of mental and emotional strength were this:

    1) my past is my past...culture and all...i do not have to let it ruin my present....or rob me of my future......i will allow what i experienced in my past to be part of who i am in the present, and be a part of who i become in my future without allowing it to change the wonderful me that i know that i know that i am. (thumbs up!)

    2) not to ever sell myself short ever again. a man will have to be a mighty good ever get with this woman.

i will definitely be buying a copy of that video when it becomes available for sale. has anyone else seen the movie yet?

    Hey Cheerful,
You beat me to it, I was going to post this question if you saw it after my after work nap, LOL. How about the party with Andrea Martin and her story of her biopsied lump, it was hysterical. And the grandmother sneakin around the backyard, and the ouzo party! I ciried when the grandmother presented her with the pics and floral headdress. The whole thing was just so well done. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, that movie was sooo dang funny! I saw it with my fiance who wasn't too keen on seeing it: "I don't want to see a movie about a fat greek!" (I told him there would be sex in it to get him to go).

He ended up liking it as much as I did. Way funny!

If any of you are Hannibal Lechter "fans", I have to say that "Red Dragon" was excellent. I loved "Silence of the Lambs"--one of the scariest movies I've ever seen--but was disappointed in "Hannibal" when it came out. If you liked "Silence....", you'll enjoy "Red Dragon"--it takes the same sort of psychological twists and turns!

Rebel.......I am going to see "Sweet Home Alabama" this week sometime. I love any movie with Reese Witherspoon in it! She's adorably cute, and oh so funny. Did you see her movie "Legally Blonde" yet? Now...THAT'S A MUST SEE MOVIE FOR SURE!!! You can rent it now (I think). I saw it at the movies since I'm more of a "go to the movie" type person as soon as a good one comes out to see. :kiss
