My 'baby' just earned her MRS degree!!

  1. Just found out tonight that my "Army brat", mother-to-be and daughter extraordinaire is now also a wife.

In typical Melanie fashion, the whole thing was rather UNromantic......she says they got married yesterday in a probate judge's office, the ceremony took all of five minutes, they were both in uniform, and they had to go to work right afterwards. But it's so obvious that they are happy and very much in love, and who's to say that five minutes in the judge's chambers won't turn out to be five decades or more of wedded bliss?

Now, if her older sister and her SO would finally tie the knot........three years together and two kids later, they're STILL doing their 'free spirit' thing.

Whew!! what a year this has been for my family---so many changes, and all of them wonderful!!! BTW, the "Divine Mrs. M" (my new nickname for her) and her new hubby are expecting a baby boy this winter, so now we can plan for another blue-themed baby shower

What is it about the Army that does that to our daughters?
I remember when Mel joined! And Amanda? She has also gotten married (for a year now) and has a bouncing 5 month old baby boy! LOL!
What are we gonna do with 'em?

Congrats to Mel and to you Gramma!!!

FRAN!!!!!!!! Great to hear from you, sweet lady!!! How are you feeling?:icon_hug:

And Julie........even more time has passed than you thought: Elijah is a year old now, and Amanda's pregnant again! She and her sister both are due this winter---Mel's little boy is coming around Jan. 13th (just in time for my birthday on the 19th, maybe), and Amanda's baby should make its appearance in late Feb. or early March (in time for my dh's birthday:spin: ).

Yes, my blessings are truly multiplying........thanks to y'all for letting me share them with you!
