my baby girl

  1. i may or may not be back for a while. i am not doing well. my furry-baby-girl, Little Miss Daisy Mae Pupperdog, jumped the gate and was sturck and killed this evening. I state that she jumped the gate to head off the ignorant a$$holes who tends to jump on posts of this nature and try to blame the grieving. we took her to be cremated and will bring her ashes home on monday. it was a hard decision to make, regarding the cremation. i am normally pro-cremation, but the thought of my baby being burned is killing me..however, jay did not feel he could bury her. also we live in the country, so there was the potential risk of her not being left to rest in peace. i was not home when it happened, i was out with a girlfriend, when jay called me. i did get to see her, and rode in the back of the truck with her on the way to take her to drop her off at the vet. i got to cuddle with her one last time. i do not know how i will get though this.

    sorry to babble on.
    take care all of you.

Awww, honey, so so sorry about your loss.

The grief can be overwhelming, but beyond that keep this in mind: you gave your baby a wonderful life, and she gave you much love in return. You were both blessed by your time together. You can never replace her, I know, and nothing ever could. But remembering all the good times has kept me whole when one of my own babies is lost to me.

We are here for you, don't doubt that. You take care.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't get my last dog cremated by herself and regretted it. I always walked her on the beach and after she died (wasn't sudden like yours) I regretted not having her ashes to spread on the beach that she loved so much. People that don't have animals in their lives are clueless as to how horrible it is when they die. I definetly feel your pain. Take care and take the time to grieve your loss.

I know how hard it is to lose someone who will stick with you through thick and thin.
Your dog is more than a pet. She is someone who is a loyal friend and companion.
Have a glass of wine and talk about the good times.

OMG, I'm so sorry. I know you're going through a horrible, rotten time right now.

I mourn with you for your dog. I fell in love with her pictures and her sweet babydog face.

It is hard. You've lost a part of your family. You need to do whatever you need to do to feel better. If it's staying away from this BB for a time, then do it. We'll be here when you get back, and welcome you back with open arms.

If you want to come and talk with us, most of us have shoulders that have had a teardrop or two fall on them. We do good hugs, too.

Thinking of you and hope you find peace.

    Love

    thanks to all...
we can at least know that we gave her a good life and a good home.

when we adopted her, we had finally agreed to geta dog...
we had started half-heartedly, casually looking. had gone to local pounds without having "that feeling"...had a saturday off together and had even gone out of the coutny to look..the next couty north of us had 16 puupies that had just come in that am...but because they had just come in,they were "quaruntined"..so all we could do was look..they were all cute...but none that we both said"d@mn..that's the one.."

we came home that day adn i brought the mail in...the local"valley advertiser" was in the box...said to jay"if i find a female puppy inhere, can i make an appt to go see her today?" he was like" yeah, whatever.."
then there was an ad for a shep/lab mix,...i called, it was female, about 10weeks old..we went to go see her...
it was love at first sight..as soon as she came up the basement steps, tripping over her huge paws...we knew...
the twit that we got ehr from , this was the 3rd time she had gotten a puppy , adn the 3rd time she had changed her mnd...she admitted this to us...
we figure the shelter had told her no more..
so we saved her from either beign taken to a pound an dbeing put to sleep..or from a loveless life.

we spoiled her rotten...but she was well-behaved also..i am going to miss her jumping up to cuddlewith mein the am after jay has left for work...she would jump up and *tha-whomp* against me...and curl up an dcuddle...
