We are going to be heading for Saskatoon at the end of May. We'll be there for at least a year while my hubby finishes up his PhD. I just wanted to know if there were any of you out there in cyberspace that had any experience in that province or city either as a nurse or just living up there.
After being in Arizona for three years I'm pretty sure it'll be a bit of a temperature shock!

I am in Saskatoon and I think it is a very nice small city. The population is about 200,000. I work at one of the 3 hospitals and don't think you will find any trouble getting work as there is a major nursing shortage here. The University campus is nice and there are many beautiful features in the city. The cost of living is not too bad, I think the average price of houses is in the 80,000 to 120,000 range. Be prepared for some cold weather during the winter months(Nov to Mar) but it really is not too bad. Good luck with your move!
