Movie Recommendations

  1. I joined the "Rewards" system at our nearby Blockbuster. We're fortunate to have a good store with excellent service.

Anyway, I can get free movies, just not new releases.

Any not new releases anyone cares to recommend, preferably from the 80s and 90s?

I think I'll get Flashdance for one and The Piano for another

Any other movies you guys would recommend?

Oh and then there was You've Got Mail....that was cute. and there was the one with Richard Gere and Wynnona Rider.....November something-or-other.....that was a good one. And The Color Purple with Ciely Tyson and Oprah Winphrey. Sleepless in Seattle was also a good one. Hope these suggestions help.

Love You Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. Like Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks together...they are great! I also like the movies (it is more for kids...but who cares...), Andre (about the onery seal!) and the Babe (pig) movies.

The movie "Return to Me" is not a new release, but I don't think it is as old as 90's. I love this movie, and list it as a suggestion to watch. I also like the music.

A friend of mine recommended I watch "Vampire's Kiss" with Nicholas Cage (80's comedy), but I haven't found anyone that has it yet.

I like Grease, Always, Peggy Sue Got Married, Officer and a Gentleman. Chances Are, Stand By Me, Lost Boys, Goonies, Heathers.... Goodfellas

The movie with Wynona Rider and Richard Gere is called"Autumn in NY". Keanu Reaves and Charlene Theron are in "Sweet November"

Beaches, is a fantastic film, I love Flashdance, footloose, and dirty dancing, oh and girls just want to have fun, but most of my favourite films are sci fi, such as the stargate film, not in the same league as the series but well worth watching

Oh I was gonna write something, but I'm suffering from brain failure. You know that Japanese animation movie that won the Oscar? Something spirit or spirit something? I liked that. Very trippy, but beautiful.
