Most violent movie you have ever seen?

  1. In keeping with the movie theme, what is the most violent movie you have ever seen? For me, it was Kalifornia (with a "K") with Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis. He kills innocent people just for the joy of watching them die. I did think that was one of Brad's best acting jobs though, and Juliette can play a psycho with the best of them.

American History X was pretty violent, but awesome!! BUT, I would have to go with a war movie, like Saving Private Ryan, or Black Hawk Down....pretty gross and violent. I love those types of movies. No chicky flicks for me!! It's action all the way!!

Okay, this is from the girl who really liked Pulp Fiction and The Usual Suspects.

That newish movie with Tom Hanks (boy, 'm really having brain failure today), where he's the gangster. Oh yeah, Road to Perdition. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful and very well made and well acted, but it gave me THE CREEPS! So many people had to die in it, just so unnecessary!

15 Minutes with Robert DeNiro. I love thrillers and violence doesn't really offend me, but I hated this one-too much violence and just plain weird.

One that stands out to me is ROBOCOP...what senseless and stupid blood and gore violence.

My vote is for American History X too. I think what made it worse was that it was just plain old ignorant hate that fueled the violence. Who didn't absolutely cringe and bite their tongue when he curbs that guy?

Ed Norton's best in my opinion.

"From Dusk Til Dawn" was pretty violent, but I still enjoyed it.

Doesn't George Clooney have the funkiest tattoo in that movie.

Yes, Kalifornia ranks right up there. Truly, truly disturbing. Had no idea that was Brad Pitt. Definitely one movie that disturbed me.

I have to mention that when I read Stephen King's book "The Dark Half" it disturbed me greatly also. I actually became a little alarmed at Stephen King's mind at that point. I still try not to think about it.

I agree, although I don't think it's the most violent movie I've seen, but definitely one of the most disturbing. The black man that plays the principal in that movie, Avery Brooks, makes my panties fly off. Damn he is sexy. Woo! Oops, sorry, what were we talking about?

Windwalkers. I saw it with my hubby a few months back, thought it would be great as I have known about the Navajo code talkers for years. Instead the movie had very little about the code talkers and what the contributed to the war. Think the first 10 minutes of Private Ryan as the majority of a movie. I walked out, told my hubby if he wanted to stay I didn't care, I would meet him outside. Which is what we did. It was very disappointing. I don't need body parts flying on a regular basis to understand that war is the most God forsaken activity that man can do.
