I've never really been able to visit up north, but I'd really like to during the Spring or Fall. I'd love to see the trees turn colors
    Jaxia, for you!

    Those are so pretty, Zoe!

I'm working Monday and Tuesday. Hoping I get more sleep tonight than last night. I've been having trouble sleeping lately, don't know why.

Morning. Ugh. Still working on my chemistry. Finished chp 1 (took 3 hours) and now I need to do chps 2 and 3. Then everything must get organized into a 3 ring binder so professor can grade it with the test that I have not prepared for until now.

Someone recommended that I get checked for ADD. It was a MD and I think something is going on.

Hope all of you have a great WARM Monday!

Grace, that sounds good (the salmon mornay)! Glad the house is all clean, it's a good feeling!

Zoe, loved the piccys!! Just beautiful!!

I'm tired, tired but we had a great time! We left at noon (dh, two other musicians, all our instruments and I), reached Twentynine Palms around 2pm, set up and did a sound check, and the program started around 4pm. Lasted (with a refreshment break) till 6pm, we packed up and gabbed and then left around 7pm, stopped to eat, and just got home --- at 10pm!!!! We did our usual donut shop jam stuff, only this was all gospel, a benefit program for a little church school in Twentynine Palms. It was all organized by a friend, C, an EXCELLENT musician (he plays banjo, mandolin, guitar, fiddle, dobro, indian flute, etc etc etc ---- ALL WELL!!!), who teaches at the little 10-student school. We played till 5pm, then after a break a bluegrass group played: guitars banjos, mandolin, bass, autoharp and vocals. Even played/sang some original music. They were really good!! We had a great time, but after the 2-hr drive home, I'm kinda tired!!! Fun, though!

Dh and I arranged for the day off tomorrow, and after we drop the ds's off at school, we're going to Disneyland. We'll hear more music, I'll get to people-watch (I usually bring a book to read, too) . . should be a good day.

I guess I forgot to post yesterday's Wacky Website, so here are two (one for today and yesterday's):

    www.utopia.knoware.n./-sybev/cliche/

    "Such a Cliche

When you just can't think of anyting new to say, come to this handy site and pick out a tried and true cliche that's worked for ages. With a cliche translator that lets you send your trite, vacuous platitudes to your friends."

    www.geocities.com/superherofood/

    "Sugar Boost

There's nothing like a superhero to push carobhydrate-laden snacks! View dozens of hero-endorsed foods at this site, including Batman and Robin Fruit Snacks, Hulk Cotton Candy, spider Man Choco Wafers, and Justice League Hot Cocoa. After all, you need a lot of energy to save the world."

    Y'all have a good, good day. ---- D

Di, I've never been to Disneyland.

How's the weather now in Southern California? Better keep it nice for my vacation. I'm bringing skirts, capris, knit shirts and jean jacket. Know it's not going to be super warm but I'm warm blooded. Heard the Pacific Ocean is freezing so might take a dip after a long walk through Balboa Park.

Our weather here is a little different from San Diego's. They tend not to get the HOT, HOT temps in summer, are more moderate (and more humid) d/t ocean breezes/influence. Check out the weather report online, some sites will give a 7-day forecast. You might end up buying a sweatshirt for the evenings.

The water IS cold (usually 56-57 degrees); nice to dip toes into, but I'd hate to fully immerse myself in it!

Most of CA is pretty casual, even in most restaurants: jeans, flip-flops/sandals and a t-shirt or casual top (but no one looks at you funny if you wear a skirt. pretty much anything goes). Sunglasses. Hat or visor. (my friend, an MD who moved here awhile ago from NY, says he used to think sunglasses were just a fashion statement, worn to look "cool." Then, after living here awhile, he realized they were a necessity, to protect one's eyes.)

I hope you have a great time, and that the weather holds for you! It is a beautiful area! (be careful if you're out after dark, it's best to stay in well-lit areas, better if you're in a group. You know, general common-sense stuff)

Awwww what pretty pretty pictures of the trees changing colors!!!!

Our leaves all changed colors and fell last month, yep in December lol. We're actually have a rather cold winter this year, well cold for Phx anyway. It actually SNOWED last Sunday, yeah SNOW! Obviously not a lot, but we did get a tiny bit ..... it was funny watching everyone sticking their hands out their car windows to touch the snowflakes

Thanks Di for the tips. I checked on the weather channels website for SD averages and I think it's btw 60-70 during the day but I've heard the nights get cold.
