    GOOD MORNING, LITTLE PEEPS!!!

Thanks Zoe, for starting the thread. So you can't sleep!! I know that can be difficult. Yesterday, I, too, had a hard time sleeping.

    I'm at work now & it's a difficult nite. I'm Charge---I hate being Charge.
We had one pt. expire all ready. We were to get an admit, but they cancelled it--sent the pt. to tele unit.
    Our floor is extremely heavy at this time---out of of 16 pt's, 12 are total, complete care pt's--trach's, peg tubes, the whole ball game. Lots of decubs that are infected; several c-diffs;

The only good thing is that we have adequate staffing for day shift. So, I won't have to look for staff.

I have a nail appt. after work, but nothing else planned. We should be home by 1030--not too bad.

    Well, the floor is calling!!!

You all have a wonderful Monday

Good morning! DD, it does seem strange to be so dark doesn't it? But I like the longer days in the evening. My dogs are still on their old schedule and didn't realize they slept an hour longer before waking me up to be fed. My girl dog has an internal clock that is quite accurate usually.

    good morning all
Yup, it's Monday again. FUnny how that happens every 7 days or so.

Now that I'm no longer at the palliative care, I am much more relaxed in terms of not having to figure out when I can sleep and what I have to get done during the day. I know that many nurses go on to work nights well into their careers, but at 45, I just don't want to do that any more. I miss the patient contact but, what can you do, right?

I have some marketing to do today and my thumb is *so* much better that I'll actually be able to tackle some projects I have planned. Besides the requisite housework, I want to design a quilt that's been sitting in my thoughts for a while now. I couldn't before because I couldn't even hold a pencil, but I can now, so let the creativity flow!

It's also going to be another beautiful day so that means backyard clean up as the snow melts. YOu know, big dog, big backyard, snow falls, covers little prizes, only to be uncovered in the spring? Yeah, just love pet ownership at this time of the year. Snort.

Heard from youngest DS in Greece. He is having, in his words, an amazing time. Just loving it. I'm so happy for him.

Ok, off to scare up some breakfast, back to do some email stuff and then on with my day. Have a good one everyone.

Good morning to all! Work for me today, and we have a busy one scheduled.

Supposed to be in the 90's today . Prayers going out for the firefighters with the Orange County and Corona fires.

    Y'all have a good day!

    Good morning everyone!

Beautifully sunny, with temps in the 50's already! I've been out and about this morning; had to have some legal stuff notarized and we went to breakfast. Now, I'm home reviewing lymphatics... I have a quiz this afternoon and a major exam on Wednesday. Plus, I got an invitation to register for nursing courses for the fall semester, so I'm officially in!

You all be well and be blessed.

    Peace!

    Congratulations! Good news all around.

It is sunny here too - should be in the 70's.

My dh is off trying to get my dd's car tire fixed. I am about to head out to the high school to pick her up for a dr. appt regarding her face. I'm really hopeful that either this doc can talk some sense into her about accutane or refer us to a different dermatologist . . the one I've gone to for years doesn't have great bedside manner with teens . . which is weird since I'll bet he see alot of teens. My dd went to school this morning with so much makeup on she looked like a corpse . . .

    Ok - gotta go . . .see ya'll later . . .

Tough assignments there ... What kind of staffing do you have (CNA's LPN's etc...)?
