  1. Greetings all!
It's 3pm monday here in Oz. We've just returned from Melbourne a few hours ago. I'll read up on the threads shortly.

We enjoyed a safe trip despite some lunatics on the highways. It's little wonder there's so many tragic car accidents. Some drivers should never be granted a license. Thankfully, our journey was a safe one despite those reckless idiots.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful! The bride looked stunning and our DD was an equally beautiful bridesmaid. Will post pics once I've had the films developed and uploaded onto the computer. ( I don't have a digital camera!) I tell you, those Sri Lankan's know how to have fun! We had a GREAT time! Danced the night away and enjoyed lots of laughs.

Hope everyone is well and that you enjoy your monday! It's a public holiday here -Labour day- and we're blessed with delightful spring weather.
Hope your day is equally pleasant. Stay safe and well.
    Cheers.............

Hiya Grace. I'm here with you although it is 1:45 a.m. here in New England. Worked 3-11 tonight and just can't unwind enough to fall asleep. Arrrggghh...I hate this but luckily I don't work tomorrow. Sounds like the wedding was great and I'm glad your home safe. Look forward to seeing some piccys.

Don't know how much longer I'm going to be awake but I sure hope that I get sleepy soon!

Hi Suzy, it's dreadful when we can't sleep. I feel for you! I often suffer insomnia. Thank goodness for the computer and allnurses! lol
Hope you manage to feel sleepy soon and can obtain much needed rest.
Yes, the wedding was just so lovely. I know people say that about all weddings, but this one was truly about the best I've been to, ever! And, being the grand old age of 55, I've attended quite a few over the years. lol
It must have cost a small fortune! There were approximately 200 guests, the reception was held in one of Melbourne's swankiest venue's, overlooking the Yarra River. Everything was just fabulous. The live band was excellent, great music and a terrific mixture of songs, instrumentals etc. It was about the happiest and fun wedding we've ever attended. The ceremony was a full catholic mass, but the priest was such fun and made the occasion meaningful but not heavy and too serious. Where seriousness was needed, it was there, but otherwise it was joyous and fun. The weather was perfect. It was just a great day all round.
Rest up and enjoy your day once you're rested!
    Cheers..........

Suzy, I do hope you're sleeping now. I have sleeping disorders often.

    Hi all!

Wedding sounds wonderful Grace, llok forward to seeing those pics.

I too find it really hard to unwind from a late shift, it's worse if I'm on an early the next day, somehow that makes me sleep really bad!!

Enjoy school Fun! & enjoy your day off Tweety!

I'm off too but I have to take teen to the physio for his 1st appointment, the consultant wants to try & sort out his calcaneus problem conservatively if he can. The MRI showed fluid around the fascia & thckening where the tendon inserts so it's no wonder the poor lad's been in pain. Hope the physio does the trick because it's injections if not, poor thing.

On a more positive note we all passed our karate gradings yesterday. DH has to work on his front kicks apparently but the rest of us were fine!

Gotta go, my printer is playing up & the website keeps sending me round in circles but DH won't believe me!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    Good morning everyone.
Grace, the wedding sounds wonderful. I'm glad you had such a great time then arrived home safely. We have some pretty unsafe drivers here, too. Guess that is a problem no matter where you live. Just gotta pray and swerve (not necessarily in that order, I suppose) around the nuts behind the wheel. BTW, I'm 56 so I can relate.
Suzy, Hoping you get some good sleep and that you have a good and peaceful day at work.
Hey, Fun. Have a good day in class.
jmg, enjoy your semi day of rest. Any break from the stress associated with some of those work days is welcome.
Dale, sounds like things are looking up for you. God bless you! Have a good day.
DDRN, have a good day. You sound like a good cook. You can cook for me anytime.
Tweety, I thought about you the other day, driving home from work. In front of me was a Buick that had 2 pictures of Tweety bird on the back. enjoy your day off.
RGN, I hope they can get your Ds's problem sorted out as simply as possible. Karate? I can only wish that I was that limber. (see reply to Grace about my age. (Hee Hee)
Siri, I hope your coffee kicked in by now. Go ahead and fill your cup again. I'll let ya. Have one for me, OK? See ya later. And, yah, my headache's better this AM, thank you.
    And I'm off today. Hallelujah!
