Hi Grace! No need to go back and read last weeks GM threads. We've been talking about you all week.

The Colts lost.........and to the Cowboys. What's up with that??? Colts are much better than Dallas. Sheesh, they have a second string quarterback playing. Although, Romo is cute - he has that going for him. I cried and got mad, throwing things around. You know what my mom says? "Well, everyone has an off day." I told her if I was Manning's wife he'd be sleeping on the front lawn. J/K. I told her when you get paid $10million a year you don't get off days. I'm just really upset. Can you tell? Took a nap and when I woke up my first thought was "oh no, the Colts lost."

The Colts lost and the Bengals won - is there no justice?

My db and SIL are moving in with her mom. They sold their house and the one they want is a new construction that isn't finished. She had the nerve to say to my SIL that the girls will not behave at her house like they behave at home. Truly, they are just normal 2 year olds. They play, they get excited when the phone rings, they run around in circles until they fall down. SIL mom says that can no longer happen. :angryfire

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Oh, and my dear niece Emma is not handling the move or my SIL pregnancy well at all. SIL cannot pick anything up and Emma wants to be held by her mom and SIL can't pick her up. She just grabs her legs and screams. Also, she's confused by all the boxes. I want to do something for her, I want to hold her and tell her it will be alright.

We have a secret, just btw Emma and me: I whisper "I love you" right into her ear and no matter what she's doing she whispers back "I love you." Those girls are my heart.

Kennedy could care less. As long as she can dance like a stripper (she really moves her hips - it's scary) she's happy.

Hello from the West Coast - it is still an hour until Monday.

Grace - I was lazy on Sunday too so I'll be chasing my tail tomorrow.

Bethin - my son has different rules when he stays with his grandparents too. He can't jump on the bed. He can't drink as much milk because my mil thinks it spoils his appetite. Nothing earth-shattering. My in-laws are so wonderful that it doesn't bother me that they are a bit stricter than we are (in fact it is probably good for him). They adore him and all our kids. My older kids have great memories of making homemade rootbeer, canning peaches, driving a tractor. . . I would put myself in your sil's mom's shoes - her home is about to be invaded by 4 people. I think it is very kind of her to offer her home. But then, I have grown children and I'm an old lady with a 5 year old so I can see both sides.

It is foggy and cold here tonight - was pretty, sunny and warm today.

My computer isn't recognizing my camera . . . what is up with that?

I agree, it is very kind of her to offer her home to four people. But she also called her other grandchild a brat to her face. I don't like the woman, but nonetheless, my db and his family will have a roof over their heads.

I had the wackiest dream when I took my nap: It was my second day of clinicals and I was in OR. The dr was going to perform a colonoscopy on a young pt that wanted the drugs but the dr refused to give drugs just because he didn't want to. I'm not one to make waves but I got in the dr's face and told him I would have no part in this and if the pt wants drugs and is able to handle the drugs, then he should receive them. I told him I was a pt advocate and looking out for the pts interests. Dr reported me to the instructor and I got yelled at. Weird, considering I'm not in clinicals. Maybe a preminition?

My advisor did say if I took summer classes I could possibly start clinicals in the fall. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yep, it's another day Angie. Tends to happen every 24 hours.

Love your signature. I read it before and it brought tears to my eyes. When I'm at work and a pt is getting on my nerves I think of that prayer. I've never heard of St Teresa of Avila. I'll have to look her up and see what she's the patron saint of (Catholic if you can't tell).

I had a problem like that once. I have a laptop with two of the ports so I used the other port and it worked fine. Maybe try that if you have more than one. You can also go to your control panel and see what programs you have on your computer, delete the program for the camera and reinstall it. But make sure you have the CD-ROM for it before you delete it.

Also, if it is a port problem you can buy an external port at Staples, BestBuy, etc.

    GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!

Well, another night at work. It's only 0215 here & I'm all ready to go home.
Busy here; We are getting ready for the move in the AM, also. Gosh, I haven't felt like this in a long time!! Just want to lay down & sleep, plus my tummy is bothering me. Also, I'm my mood is deteriorating!!
Oh well, better just knock it off & get down to work.

My pt's are OK for the moment; assessments are done, I'm caught up with meds; even drew blood for PTT. (We don't have phlebotomists at nite). Can you imagine, a Level1 Trama Center & no phlebotomists here after 10 PM??

Have a busy morning, again; grocery shopping, dropping things off at Mom's, etc. Will I ever get home???????????

Grace, thanks for starting the thread!! Hope y ou're Monday is going well.

Beth, Steph, Angio and Dianah--hope you all have a LOVELY day!!
Hope you're all getting some good ZZZZZZZZZ's by now

Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon.

Moving? I knew you were thinking about it, but I didn't know you made a decision. Where are you going to?

Hmmm, Level 1 trauma center and no phelebotomists(sp)? Our county hospital with 70 beds has at least one phelebotomists at night and gobs during the day. Pharmacy is closed at night so nsg supervisor has to get meds. Do you have a 24 hr pharmacy?

Hope your night goes well and you will get home, you will get home (just click your heels together).

    Good Morning, Y'all -

Just wanted to drop in and say HELLO, since my computer has miraculously come back to life. Was at the point where it was so slow the only thing I was using it for was to play Solitaire. Then, voila! Its working as well as the day I bought it. Don't know how, who, or when but someone, somewhere fixed it and I'm not asking any questions. Just lots of :bowingpur

Looking forward to Thanksgiving. My dd and her bf are coming down from Portland from Wed. to Sun. YEAH!!!!! Next month they are off to Iowa to spend Christmas with his family. Oh well, you can't always have it your way, huh?

Bethin, sorry to hear about the troubles with your best friend moving, and your mom giving you a tough time. I'm sure you must be sooooo excited about starting school and hopefully living in your own apartment as well. Hope things work out well for you.
Imagine your sil is in for some problems living with her mom. Usually seems like two grown women living together, especially if they've been on their own, have to fight over everything - like its a control issue. Let's hope their new home is finished quickly.

Hi Grace, down under. You showed admirable restraint in starting the morning thread. LOL

Hi Steph. Will your little man begin kindergarden this coming fall, or next year? Amazing how quickly they grow up, no?

Angie, Dianah - hope your both having sweet dreams.

Mary Ann, you're getting ready for the move in the A.M.?? At work or what?? Hope you get to feeling better. Good for you, drawing your own blood. I hate it when I get sent out to draw labs. Last week I felt like such a failure. Had to start a foley cath. in a female patient, and try as I might could not find her urethra. Foleys hanging out all over. After third try I gave up. Was anxious to see if the next nurse had any problems, but patient died that evening. Sheesh! we have the same anatomy and I can't even find it. Felt like an idiot.

Oh, well, better get some sleep. Hope we all have a marvelous Monday
