    *69 Call them right back.

That is so annoying! Back when I was a university strudent, I was given a phone number that was an old (appartenly often used) fax number. I would get shrieky faxes at all hours od the day and night. The phone company refused to change my number and said I would have to pay myself to get it done. I was too cheap at the time to pay to get the number changed.

Wendy, one can only hope that this is some awesome secret admierer whe will soon wisen up and start talking to you.

Wendy that irks me too. Unfortunately with kids off in college I am afraid if I don't get the phone it will be them and they may need me LOL, Sure huh? !

Do you have *69 capabilities on your phone?

yeah i also have call display and call back options but this person is so tricky tricky

mr or mrs unknown name unknown number I'm so gonna get you suckah!!!!

and adrie , I wont hold my breath on the whole admirer thing, but youre ever so sweet for the implication that its not mr scary psychokiller on the other end of the line .... I think I'll go back to sleep now...
if it is my admirer I guess my big plan of letting loose a plethora of foul language wont endear him to me, or maybe just maybe it will....
and if it *IS* mr psychokiller, I could date him...
I mean you date mr immature, mr cheap, mr obnoxious, mr boring surely mr right is next right?or mr psychokiller, either way, problems solved!!!

funny thing about my decision to get call display, work was calling me an insane amount of times so I figured okay I'll know its them and if its important, they can be all normal and leave a msg on my voicemail - well no , that theory is apparently too much for them to grasp, so now I see that work called, no voicemail left so I figure I'm in big trouble or something hahaha nothing like telephone induced paranoia!

Wendy, If you're going to talk dirty, give me your number and I'll call.

Seriously, My sister keeps a whistle by the phone. I understand it is quite hard on the otic nerves when heard over the phone.

Get a whistle and blow it right into the mouth piece. A few times of hurting his ear should stop it.

    Wendy,
If you call the star system operator they will tell you how to block, callers who block their number. They get some message that says if they want to call you they have to unblock their number. It's some *something code you put into your phone, (I think, I'm old the memory's going first, thank god! LOL)

If the problem continues, I believe if you tell the phone company that you are receiving these calls they'll change the number once for free? Might be different here? I think they hand those numbers out way to soon after one person disconnects from the number and someone else gets it...

For the past several months I've been in a sort of "solitary" mood... Well I just usually turn my phone off when I want to be alone...
