Missed you all! What's happening?

  1. Hi, all!
Hubby and I spent almost a week at Myrtle Beach, and had a really good time.

I sure did miss you all! I had my laptop with me, but the only connection I could get was a long-distance one, and I can't pay the rates they want from a hotel!

Was so sorry to hear about JailRN's son. What I read that you all are doing for her just makes me all the more proud to be part of such a great group! I wore my allnurses.com long-sleeved t-shirt at MB, and got several comments about it, and one compliment!

Yesterday I started general hospital orientation for my new job, and begin floor orientation next Monday. I got lucky enough to get Thanksgiving AND Christmas off, simply by promising to work New Years' Eve and New Years Day!

That's all of my news for now-what is yours?

Well, hi, Renee! So glad to see you're here! One change after another! Are you in Delaware yet, or still in Texas?

l.rae, no we didn't. They'd almost rolled up the streets, and things were pretty sparse around there. We had sun for 2.5 days, and rain the rest of the time. We did the tast of MB, which was excellent, went to the movies 3 times, saw the Ripley's aquarium, and thought it was really good, and walked around the Boardwalk area, making plans for our next trip. We stayed at the Yachstsman Resort at 14th St. (just down the road from the library). We did a fair bit of shopping, and hung out in our apartment, just chilling, a good bit. There sure would be a lot to do if we were slightly more toward the busy season. Found out the night we got there, lying on the couch, reading the ads, that Alabama was at the Alabama theatre! Only an hour to showtime. We'd never have made it! I was SO bummed. We did get to see where the Bowery was.
Didn't play mini-golf-the weather was a little too weird, when we had time. Great place, though! I prefer it waaay over Daytona Beach!

Welcome back...everyone managed to hold down the fort while you were gone. Glad to see you made it safely home.
