No fan of Perez Hilton, but I wonder what you guys would think of Miss California if you replaced 'gay marriage' with 'miscegenation'. Would you still admire her for standing up for her beliefs? Having a right to express one's views does not equate to a right to be respected or liked for one's views.
We don't know what her views on miscegenation are because that wasn't the question. And that slimebag Perez asked her "should all states allow gay marriage and why or why not?" She answered the question as he asked it. Now had he said, "if you oppose gay marriage, I'm going to call you a ***** tomorrow and also grade you down here" at least that would have been a honest question.
He should not have been a judge and hopefully won't ever again. I tried to find a place to send comments to Mr. Trump, but could not. His own children behave far better in the public eye that PH does.
All that being said, someday I hope my gay daughter will be allowed to marry. I don't personally feel that it threatens my family or any body else's family either. But Miss California answered the question as it was presented to her, and yes, I believe she has to be respected for that, whether or not you like the answer.
